Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves Tangos. She also loves operas and any form dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. After relocating in California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved with a number of local organizations in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
